About

This is me.   I’m 66 and retrained as a personal trainer 6 years ago.  The plan was to make my fortune by helping other baby boomers keep fit, but things didn’t quite work out like that.  I discovered that I like my time more than I like money and I can honestly say that in 6 years I’ve made less than £100 from my personal training ‘business’.

This is my first ever blog and I have no doubt it will evolve and change over the years.  I’m pretty savvy about facebook and Twitter, but new to blogging, so we’ll see how it goes.

As the blog title suggests, I’m a gran with 5 grandchildren.  I enjoy life and need to keep fit to keep up with them and also to be able to stay independent and healthy for as long as possible.

I like running.  No, I love running.  I also do other stuff like swimming and strength exercises, but don’t follow a ‘regime’.  I try to do something every day and try to walk as much as I can, but am a bit of a fair weather walker.  I try and do 6,000 steps every day, but sometimes fall woefully short.
